We are the Third Year Industrial Design Studio at NJIT, taught by Brooks Atwood. We are designing seating objects for the ICFF. Our first phase of the project was called “Re-Found” and used found materials to create the seating object. The second phase was called “Re-See” and the focus was to find a way to integrate technology into the piece. The third phase, “Re-Think” challenged us to use sustainability in the materials we used, and in the manufacturing process. The final phase is “Re-Imagine” and we are combining all aspects of the previous projects, along with adding ergonomics, and making it full size.
There will be a gallery exhibit in NJIT’s Campus Center from December 4th to the 6th, and the final presentation will take place on the 6th at 6pm.
